ACS Information Navneet Sehgal told news agency ANI that the partial 'corona curfew' extended till May 17, 2021. The ANI UP tweet reads, "Partial 'corona curfew' imposed in Uttar Pradesh extended till May 17: ACS Information Navneet Sehgal." However, from this lockdown, the essential services have been exempted. It has been made compulsory for the people to carry an e-pass in case of travelling.
In order to generate an e-pass for travelling during the lockdown, one has to follow some simple steps. These are as follows:
Step 1: One has to login to rahat.up.nic.in
Step 2: Then one needs to go to the e-pass portal
Step 3: Now, one has to click on 'Apply e-pass' option and enter the required details to generate an OTP
Step 4: Now, one needs to fill up the registration form
Step 5: After filling up the application form, the application will be reviewed by the administration, and those approved will get an SMS with the link to the online pass
It must be noted that the sub-divisional magistrate will issue the e-pass to the individual for movement within the state. In case, a person has to travel outside the district in that case, the Additional District Magistrate will issue an e-pass.
On Sunday, the Delhi government has also announced to extend the lockdown in the national capital till May 17, 2021. During this period of lockdown, the metro services in the national capital has also been suspended.
On Monday morning, the union health ministry informed that India has registered 3,66,161 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The disease has also claimed the lives of 3,754 people in the last 24 hours.
