UGC NET 2019 Online Registration: For eligibility test of Assistant Professors or Junior Research Fellowships' (JRF), the University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts all India test. Once again there is an opportunity for those who want to pursue their career in academics, as online application process for the UGC NET 2019 June examination has started from today. All those aspirants who want to apply can submit their application on the official website- http://www.nta.ac.in or ntanet.nic.in, as the registration will close on March 30. The last date for payment of fees is April 1, 2019.

According NTA notification, the UGC-NET, June 2019 will be based on the new syllabus, which is available on the UGR-NET website— http://www.ugcnetonline.in

Notably, NET is conducted in 84 subjects at 91 selected cities of the country to assess eligibility for Assistant Professor post or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or both. The UGC NET will be held in multiple sessions from June 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2019 and the result is expected by July 15.

How to apply for UGC NET 2019: Interested candidates should follow the steps given below. 

1. Candidates should visit the official website- ntanet.nic.in
2. They must go through the official notification to check eligibility criteria.
3. Candidates can apply online for UGC NET 2019 June exam.
4. On the given link for UGC NET 2019 registration, candidates should fill their online application form, upload their signature, image and pay the requite fees. 

Educational qualification: Interested Candidates should have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s degree or equivalent examination from recognised universities/institutions.

For candidates belonging to OBC, Scheduled Caste(SC)/ Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability (PwD) category and transgender candidates will have five per cent relaxation, but they must have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Masters degree or equivalent examination.

Those who are pursuing their Master’s (in the final year) can also apply. They, however, must complete their Master’s degree or equivalent examination within two years from the date of NET result with the requisite percentage.

For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exams, the upper age limit has been raised by two years, i.e. from the existing upper age limit of 28 years to 30 years. However, the relaxation as earlier will remain the same.
