Railway Minister Piyush Goyal took to his twitter account appreciating the performance of Uday Express so far. Goyal also stated that, soon this train will be operated on other routes as well, however, not much information is given on which are those routes.
After successful response of newly launched Uday Express who is known for low-budget double decker AC train, the Indian Railways are now planning to make this train services available for other routes as well. Since launch this year, the Uday Express is operating currently on three routes. These routes are Coimbatore to Bengaluru, Bandra to Jamnagar and Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada.This train has a total of 10 coaches; 3 coaches (C1,C4,C7) with Dinning facility with seating capacity of 104 Seats each and 5 coaches without dinning with seating capacity of 120 seats. The remaining two are power cars.

Goyal said, "Railways are excited by the positive response of the people in the double-decker AC train 'Uday Express' with state-of-the-art facilities for easy travel in less money, it will be rolled out on other routes soon."
Uday Express was launched to bring in better facilities to low-class sections of India. It is a Make In India campaign train where a passenger can enjoy AC train services by paying lower than Rs 600.
For instance, between Coimbatore to Bengaluru - to travel from this train a regular ticket (for people above 12 year's age) is priced at Rs 555, while child ticket (age group between 5 - 11 years) at Rs 280.
In case of senior citizon female who are 58 year's of age and above, will have to pay only Rs 325, whereas senior citizen male being 60 year's of age and above will pay up to Rs 370.
The train has been developed for one night's journey, and has a speed up to 110 kilometers per hour. It is a fully AC double decker train with comfortable chairs.
In Uday Express there are also services like train, food and tea from the Vending machines available. Apart from this, there are facilities like Wi-Fi, LCD screen and bio toilet available as well.
