The Kasganj-Farrukhabad Express (Train No. 05389), which departed from Kayamganj railway station at 11:18 PM, narrowly avoided derailment due to the presence of a wooden log on the track.

It is suspected that miscreants attempted to derail the Kasganj-Farrukhabad Express by placing a large wooden log on the railway track. The log became lodged in the front portion of the engine, causing the train to halt for approximately 25 minutes.

Upon inspection, railway authorities discovered the log, which was approximately 137 cm long, 20 cm in diameter, and weighed about 30 kg, on the track. The log left marks on the track, indicating it was deliberately placed to cause damage.

The incident occurred near Bhadasa railway station in Farrukhabad district around 11:30 PM. The train was delayed by 40 minutes due to the incident.

After removing the log, the train resumed its journey and reached Shamsabad railway station at 12:04 AM. The train's guard and driver reported the incident to the railway station authorities.

Sources also indicate that the miscreants had damaged a cement slab near Bhadasa railway station.

A team of railway officials, accompanied by dog squads, the Government Railway Police (GRP), the Railway Protection Force (RPF), and other railway personnel, arrived at the scene to investigate the incident.

"No damage to railway property or passengers was reported," officials stated.

Following the incident, a team of officials, including Inspector Rajesh Kumar, Inspector OP Meena, and other personnel, arrived to investigate and take necessary legal action. The investigation is being led by Inspector OP Meena from Kannauj. A case has been registered under sections 153/174 of the Railway Act, and the investigation is ongoing. The incident occurred in Farrukhabad district.
