Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation has granted an extension to those whose last date for paying bills falls between November 24 and November 30. The decision was as several consumers complained about issues while linking their Aadhaar card with their electricity service numbers.

It is to be noted that TANGEDCO has made it mandatory for everyone to link their Aadhaar card with their TNEB account in order to continue to receive their subsidy.

In order to ensure that everyone follows this, TANGEDCO offices are now refusing to collect current consumption (CC) charges from consumers who have not linked Aadhar with TNEB.

How To Link Aadhaar With TNEB Online?

 

Step 1: Consumers need to visit the official website of TNEB i.e. nsc.tnebltd.gov.in/adharupload.

Step 2: Here, you will have to provide details of your Service Connection Number.

Step 3: In the next step, you will have to verify your mobile number. In order to do so, you will have to generate OTP. Enter OTP and verify your account. 

Step 3: Provide details of the occupant.

Step 4: Now provide the Aadhaar card number that is to be linked with the TANGEDCO account. 

Step 5: Enter your name as it is on the Aadhaar. 

Step 6: Upload your Aadhaar ID

Step 7: Submit the form. You can also download the acknowledgment receipt.
