Tirumala VIP break darshan cancelled due to heavy rush

Tirumala VIP break darshan: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has cancelled the VIP break darshan in view of heavy rush. Notably, the Tirumala hill shrine is witnessing an unprecedented rush of pilgrims due to series of holidays coupled with weekend.

TTD Trust Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy announced the cancellation till August 21 and said that the step has been taken to give priority to common pilgrims to visit the Lord Venkateswara shrine. 

"So, in order to give priority to common pilgrims, TTD has cancelled all VIP break darshans on recommendation letters till 21st August," Chairman YV Subba Reddy said in a Tweet.

He also informed the devotees to prepare their plan accordingly as it is taking two days for the darshan of the hill temple of Sri Venkateswara Swamy in view of the unprecedented surge in pilgrim footfall.

Meanwhile, Reddy has extended greetings on the occasion of August 15, Independence Day 2022. 

"My warm greetings to all on the occasion of 76th Independence Day. On this auspicious occasion, I also extend my best wishes to all the soldiers serving in the armed forces.  Happy Independence Day to the people of India! Jai Hind!" he tweeted.
