LS Polls Phase 5 Dry Day Cities and States: As the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is scheduled for May 20, the government has declared dry days in a few states on this day. For the fifth phase of the elections, schools have also been closed in the constituencies of states where polling is being held. Some private and government offices are also closed.
Dry Day On May 20: Certain states have declared a Dry Day owing to voting during the fifth phase. Four cities in Maharashtra – Mumbai, Palghar, Kalyan, and Thane – will observe “dry days” as they fall within the constituencies scheduled for voting.
The ban on alcohol sales started at 5 PM on Saturday, May 18, and will end on Monday, May 20 at 5 PM.
Maharashtra Lok Sabha election Phase 5
In Maharashtra, the fifth voting phase will include 13 Lok Sabha seats. According to Hindustan Times, the constituencies voting in Phase 5 of the Lok Sabha elections are Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, Mumbai South-Central, Mumbai South, Thane, Kalyan, Palghar, Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, and Bhiwandi.
