Thugs of Hindostan box office collection day 2:  Even though Vijay Krishna Acharya directed Thugs of Hindostan has shattered all records with its day 1 earnings of Rs 52.25 crore, the Bollywood multi-starrer has failed to beat Thalapathy Vijay starrer Sarkar's record. The South Indian movie has gone from strength to strength even as Aamir Khan starrer has hiccuped and given Vijay the advantage.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sarkar has earned an unheard of Rs 110 crore in first two days itself! On the other hand, the Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif starrer Thugs of Hindostan collection has reportedly witnessed a drop in collections by almost 50 per cent on day 2!

A number of film trade analysts took to twitter to raise this big concern about Thugs of Hindostan collection on day. "The early estimates for day two of #ThugsOfHindostan are showing trends of an almost 50% drop! It is simply unheard of!" tweeted film critic Amul Vikas Mohan.

Another film trade analyst Girish Johar claimed that the estimated day 2 earning for the Thugs of Hindostan will be around Rs 27 crore. This would be a huge loss for Aamir Khan who is looking to power Thugs of Hindostan collection to No. 1 status in Bollywood and pan-India by beating Baahubali, which has a collection of over Rs 500 cr.

"EXCLUSIVE... Drop in BO continued in eve & nite shows as well... around 50% fall... #VeryEarlyTrends suggest an estimated Day 2 of 25~27crs nett ...all langs ...all formats for #ThugsOfHindostan ... Saturday BO...jump if any... is crucial to determine life BO," added Johar.

Therefore, even if the film manages to earn Rs 30 crore on day 2, the total box office collections will be around Rs 82.25 crore, which is far below Sarkar film's Rs 110 crore.

However, given the weekend with no other big release, the Thugs of Hindostan's earnings soar further, but it will  enter the Rs 100 crore club by Sunday only, which is day 3. Something that would surely not appeal to Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif.
