Aamir Khan, making Thugs of Hindostan collection, achieve the impossible has elicited thrilled reactions from analysts. "EXCLUSIVE!!! As predicted #VeryEarlyTrends #ThugsOfHindostan has created new Day 1 records & also has got the fastest 50crs nett for Indian Cinema, so far... all langs ...all formats ...hope the content has stronger legs at BO now!," tweeted Johar confirming his prediction was quite accurate.

Thugs of Hindostan has earned Rs 52.25 cfore to beat Shah Rukh Khan starrer Happy New Year (Rs 45 crore), Prabhas starrer Baahubali 2 (Rs 41 crore) and Salman Khan special, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Rs 40.35 crore) in terms of day 1 earnings.

That Thugs of Hindostan collection was set to zoom was clear from the fact that its occupancy rate in early morning shows had zoomed past 70 per cent mark on the opening day. It's rare for films to record such a high occupancy rate. The average occupancy rate revolves between 15 to 35 per cent on day 1 and manages to top 50 pct for the superstars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn.

Thugs of Hindostan film also got a boost from screening at a record number of theaters. "#ThugsOfHindostan screen count... India: 5000 [Hindi + Tamil + Telugu], Overseas: 2000, Worldwide total: 7000 screens, Note: More screens could be added during the course of the day," said film trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Thugs of Hindostan film may reap the benefit of the holiday period and tremendous hype around it to further boost its overall collections.

"#ThugsOfHindostan may reap the benefit of the holiday period + tremendous hype + impressive names in its cast... But will find it difficult to sustain after the initial euphoria settles down... #TOH is a golden opportunity lost, a KING-SIZED DISAPPOINTMENT!," said Adarsh.

However, the only bad news Thugs of Hindostan film received was from movie critics as they did not give it good reviews at all. In fact, most of the film critic termed it a 'disappointment'.

Taran Adarsh, in his short Thugs of Hindustan review, tweeted this: "#OneWordReview… #ThugsOfHindostan: DISAPPOINTING. Rating: **, All that glitters is NOT gold... Holds true for #TOH... Some engrossing moments in the first hour, that’s about it... Formula-ridden plot, screenplay of convenience, shoddy direction are the main culprits....".

On his part, film trade analyst and critic Sumit Kadel had termed it a 'complete waste of money'. "#ThugsofHindostan - Complete waste of Money, Talent & Resources, Aamir Khan weakest film this decade. Shoddy Screenplay, Mundane action sequences, extremely lousy direction & a bygone story defines thugs of Hindostan. Not even massy enough. Rating- *," he said in a tweet.

Now, will Thugs of Hindostan box office colelction continue to keep this fast and furious pace? That is a question on everyone's minds. That will be clear in a day or two as the festive holiday season ends and working week starts in earnest. Then, what will decide ToH collection fate would be the word of mouth boost.
