If you are you a government job aspirant, then there is good news for you. The Haryana government has reportedly increased the age limit for the entry into government jobs from 40 to 42 years. The government has asked all the departments to incorporate the provisions to raising the upper age limit for entry into the government service in their service rules, according to a PTI report. The council of ministers in its meeting held on May 30 this year took the decision. The report said government departments will not have to obtain approval in this regard of the council of ministers, Finance Department and Haryana Public Service Commission or Haryana Staff Selection Commission.
A circular to this effect has been addressed to all the heads of the departments, a government spokesperson said. Age limit is the one factor that makes some peoples' hope of getting a government job impossible. This factor mainly affects youth from rural areas who do not get proper training or guidance in right age. As the competition for the government jobs are going tougher, candidates from rural areas often start preparing for the government job late. Another problem is, in many smaller towns there is no institute to guide these students.
With this development, many people will be able to avail the opportunity for the government jobs.
