This decade is Indias Techade: PM Modi says nation fast becoming a big exporter of telecom technology
Narendra Modi added that the government and private sector together have laid over 25 lakh kilometers optical fibre in the last nine years and this has helped the spread of internet usage even in the remote corners of the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said India is moving fast from being only a user a few years ago, to become a big exporter of telecom technology. While addressing a gathering at the inauguration ceremony of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Area Office and Innovation Centre, PM said that India is one of the countries to have rolled out 5G mobile technology at the fastest pace as the services have been already expanded to 125 cities within 120 days of the launch of 5G.
