The Lion King box office collection: Disney's film is putting up the fantastic total at the box office in India. This is the second-highest opening weekend grosser by a Hollyafter Avengers: Endgame in 2019.  This is also the second Hollywood film to cross Rs 50 crore by the first weekend. After a moderate collection of Rs 11.06 crore, the film witnessed a substantial jump in the collection during the first weekends. It earned Rs 19.15 crore, and Rs 24.54 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

During the weekdays too the animation film put up strong numbers. It garnered Rs 7.90 crore, Rs 7.02 crore, Rs 6.25 crore, and Rs 5.65 on  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.

The second-weekend business will give a better idea how about its lifetime business. Being a perfect family movie, this may attract a large number of youngster during the weekends. The film is based on the battle for the throne in an animal kingdom and its internal politics. 

If it can pull a large number of movie buff to flock to theatres during weekends then entry into the Rs 100-crore club will not be far.
