The Lion King box office collection: The Disney film is doing brisk business at the box office. The movie made Rs 81.57 crore in the first week itself and after that the collection of the film has been consistent. So far the movie has earned Rs 143.96 crore in India business. The film has done better during the weekends. On Saturday and Sunday, it made Rs 4.45 crore, and Rs 5.67 crore, respectively.

The movie earned Rs 16.64 crore in the third week.  The Disney's live action drama is now inching towards the Rs 150-crore milestone. The movie will not have to face much competition until new films hit theatres.

Since it hit the theatres about three weeks ago, it received great response from the audience. Directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Karen Gilchrist, Jeffrey Silver and Jon Favreau, the movie is based on an animal kingdom. The story of young lion Simba; who is the rightful successor of his father, Mufasa, as the King of the Pride Lands; has won over the children. 

Donald Glover lent his as Simba, Beyonce as Nala, James Earl Jones and as Simba's father Mufasa while in the Hindi version, Shah Rukh Khan lend his voice as Mufasa, and Aryan as Simba.
