Telangana CM seeks Rs 5,000 crore from Centre for water programme

Rao told Jaitley the NITI Aayog has recommended providing Rs 5,000 crore for the next three years for 'Mission Kakatiya', a release from the Chief Minister's Office said.

Rao said the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act talked about providing special development package for backward districts of the state.
He also said a Rs 30,571 crore package has been sought for 'Mission Kakatiya' and 'Mission Bhagiradha' programmes taken up in line with the Act, it added.
