Taj Mahal Night View Dates 2022, Ticket Price: One of the seven world’s wonders, Taj Mahal will be open for night viewing during `Sharad Purnima` for four nights in the month of October.

Tourists flocking to Agra to visit Taj Mahal can get a glimpse of the monument during the night when Moon shines in its brightest form.

The monument will open for tourists from October 8 to 11. Sharad Purnima will be observed on the intervening night of October 9/10.

The phenomenon, known as `Chamki`, makes the monument`s marble glow as the moonlight strikes it at different angles during this period.

Key things to know before you visit Taj Mahal in night:

- Tickets should be booked at least one day in advance. Tickets can be booked from 10 am to 6 am.

- Tickets can be cancelled on the day of visit up to 1 pm. The cancelation is subject to the rules. 

- Only 400 people are allowed to visit during night from 8.30 p.m. to 12.30 a.m. They are divided into 8 groups. Each group is allowed to stay within the premises for 30 minutes.

Ticket Price:

-Ticket price for adults is Rs 510 ( Indian) and Rs 750 (Foreigner). Ticket price for kid (3-15 years) is Rs. 500.

Superintending archaeologist Rajkumar Patel said that as the Taj Mahal remains closed on Friday, tourists will be allowed to view the monument at night for four days, from Saturday to Tuesday.

Tickets can be purchased one day before the night viewing date from the counter at the ASI office.

Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan after the death of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the white marble mausoleum is considered a monument to eternal love.
