Solar Eclipse 2022 Sutak Kaal timing: Surya Grahan 2022 Sutak Kaal time has already started.  The Sutak Kaal time or period starts generally 12 hours before the start of the Eclipse or Grahan. The Solar Eclipse or Surya Grahan on 25 October will start at 4:29 PM.

Solar eclipse happens when the Moon, only natural satellite of planet Earth, comes between Sun and Earth.

The Sutak Kaal, according to Drik Panchang, will start at 03:17 AM and will continue till 05:43 PM. 

What is Sutak Kaal?

Whether a solar eclipse or a lunar eclipse, the period preceding the eclipse is known as Sutak. Typically, it is observed 12 hours before the Surya Grahan.  Sutak is regarded by Hindu tradition as an inauspicious period prior to the Surya Grahan.

Solar Eclipse on 25 October is the second such phenomenon of the calendar year. The solar eclipse will be visible from India.

Solar Eclipse Time In Delhi, Varanasi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Dwarka 

India will experience a partial solar eclipse on October 25. 

In Gujarat's Dwarka, it will be visible for the longest time; in West Bengal's Kolkata, it will only be seen for 12 minutes. 

Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Pune, Jaipur, Indore, Thane, Bhopal, Ludhiana, Agra, Chandigarh, Ujjain, Mathura, Porbandar, Gandhinagar, Silvasa, Surat and Panaji are a few additional cities where you can see the Surya Grahan for more than an hour.

Thiruvananthapuram, Patna, Mangaluru, Coimbatore, Ooty, Varanasi, and Mangaluru. Aizawl, Dibrugarh, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Silchar, and Andaman & Nicobar Island won't be able to see the eclipse.

What Is Partial Solar Eclipse? 

When the Sun is partially or entirely blocked by the Moon, preventing its rays from reaching Earth, then this unique astronomical phenomenon in the sky is known as the Solar Eclipse .

A partial solar eclipse occurs when the Moon partially obscures the Sun.

If the Moon completely blocks the Sun's centre, it is known as an annular solar eclipse.
