Summer vacations: IRCTC offers North-East India tour at affordable prices; check details

With summer vacations virtually on us, the e-ticketing arm of Indian Railways, IRCTC has announced some special packages across many destinations. Considering most people have done the popular destinations to death, it is time for them to eye some really exotic regions that are famed for their beauty. The opportunity on offer is 'Cool Kanchenjunga Tour.' IRCTC has unveiled a package that will let you roam around the north-eastern region in India that will give you unmatched scenic views.

"For those who yearn for adventure and excitement, there are mystique and romance in exploring wildlife in its true forms and natural habitat, experiencing gushing streams and waterfalls picturesque mountain ranges- all fostered by mother nature. It was the perfect Holiday one could expect away from the crowd straight into the lap of Nature," IRCTC mentioned on its website. 

According to the website, IRCTC's Cool Kanchenjunga Tour will cover three destinations. The destinations are Gangtok, Pelling, and Darjeeling. The tour will start every Sunday till June. 

IRCTC's package is available for six nights and seven days at a starting price of Rs 21,030. In case of double and triple occupancy, the rates would be Rs 27,450 and Rs  21,030.

The IRCTC website also stated that after the package would be booked online, the customer has to contact immediately to the IRCTC Kolkata office for further details of their tour, as per the DNA report.

IRCTC is also offering a package to religious places. According to IRCTC'S official website, irctctourism.com, the package is available via the 'Bharat Darshan Special Tourist Train.' The tour package is available at Rs 9,450, inclusive of all the taxes including GST, through the official website.
