Soon after the House began functioning on Monday, leader of Opposition in state assembly Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil and NCP leader Ajit Pawar raised the issue of waterlogging. Both Vikhe-Patil and Pawar questioned the very rationale behind holding the Monsoon session in Nagpur.
The report also stated that, Pawar said that it was prerogative of Government to decide whether to hold Monsoon session in Nagpur or Mumbai but adjournment for the entire day on Friday has exposed the preparedness. He demanded action against the official for failure of the Government machinery on Friday leading to power cut at Vidhan Bhavan and waterlogging in premises.
