Stree box office collection day 3: Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor set to power film to over Rs 30 cr in opening weekend

Stree box office collection day 3: This standout horror, comedy and drama combo starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor has taken off and is expected to count among the successful films of 2018. So much so that Stree collection in opening weekend is expected to hit the Rs 30 cr mark. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree cast, that also includes, apart from Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurrana, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, Nora Fatehi (item number), Kriti Sanon (item number), Aakash Dabhade, Vijay Raaz, Atul Srivastava, Flora Saini and many others, have already celebrated its success.
Stree collection on day 1 was a humble Rs 6.82 crore. It was a working day and expectations were not for much higher. However, on day 2, Stree collection soared into double digits, managing as much as Rs 10.87 cr for a total of Rs 17.69 crore. On day 3, which was Sunday, the film is expected to do enough to hit the Rs 30 crore mark despite facing stiff competition from Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi and to an extent the Akshay Kumar starrer Gold, which is a Rs 100 cr film now, and John Abraham successful Satyameva Jayate.

What will boost Stree collection even more is the fact that Monday is a holiday too and this will get the eager public heading to cinemas in droves to check out first hand what the new movies on offer are all about. In effect, Stree collection will get an extended weekend boost that will give it the momentum to quickly push on towards the Rs 50 crore mark.
And how did the previous Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrers do? Rao's Bareilly Ki Barfi film managed just Rs 18.72 crore in its first week. Kapoor starrer OK Jaanu managed just Rs 23.64 crore overall.
