Hindustan zinc/Vedanta: Vedanta Group firm Hindustan Zinc on Tuesday reported a 6.70 per cent year-on-year drop in net profit at Rs 1,940 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2020. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 2,081 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations grew 25% to Rs 5,660 crore in the July-September period against Rs 4,511 crore posted in the year-ago period. EBITDA stood at Rs 2,952 crore up 39% from Rs 2,117 crore posted last year. The margin grew to 52.15% in Q2FY21 against 46.93% posted in Q2FY20. The company has declared an interim dividend of Rs 21.3 per share amounting to Rs 9,000 crore for FY21. Vedanta to get Rs 5843 crore as dividend

Equitas Small Finance Bank IPO Update: The Rs 518 crore initial public offer (IPO) of Equitas Small Finance Bank (SFB) was subscribed 39% on the first day of the bidding process. The quota set aside for retail investors was subscribed 86%, while the non-institutional investors (NII) quota was subscribed 3%. The quota reserved for the employees was subscribed 61%. The price band for the issue is fixed at Rs 32-33 per share, and the issue will close on Thursday, October 22, 2020. The public offering comprises fresh issue of 8.5 crore shares worth Rs 280 crore and offer for sale of 7.2 crore shares by Equitas Holdings Limited. Equitas Small Finance Bank is the wholly-owned subsidiary of NBFC Equitas Holdings. Post the IPO, the stake of Equitas Holdings Limited will decline to about 82 per cent from 95.49 per cent earlier.

Cipla/ AstraZeneca

Cipla: The drug major on Tuesday announced the launch of generic Nintedanib for the treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). Available as 100 mg and 150 mg capsules, it will be marketed under the brand name Nintib. 
AstraZeneca Pharma: The drug firm AstraZeneca will launch its Acalabrutinib 100 mg capsules, used for the treatment of various types of blood cancers, under the brand name 'Calquence' in the country today, on October 21, 2020.
