Domestic equity benchmarks ended near the day's high after a robust rally on Thursday, November 5, 2020. The Nifty managed to close above 12,000-mark and Sensex above 41,000-level. The S&P BSE Sensex rallied 724.02 points or 1.78 per cent to end at 41,340.16. The Nifty 50 index jumped 211.80 points or 1.78 per cent to settle at 12,120.30. Shipping Corporation of India Ltd: The Board of Directors of the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) is scheduled to meet today, i.e. November 6, 2020, to discuss a way forward for the proposed Disinvestment in lines with the various directions received from the competent authorities regarding probable Demerger/ Hiving off of non-core assets.

Post Market Results: Some companies, like CONCOR, Torrent Power to Berger Paints, posted their September quarter results on Thursday after the markets were closed for trading purposes. These stocks are likely to be in action today when the market will open for trading purposes. Details: 

CONCOR: Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR) on Thursday reported a profit of Rs 185 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2020, against a loss of Rs 332 crore posted in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations fell 14.1% to Rs 1,509 crore in the reported quarter against Rs 1,756 crore posted last year. EBITDA fell 26.9% to Rs 316 crore against Rs 432 crore posted in the same period last year. The margin declined to 20.9% in Q2FY21 against 24.6% posted in Q2FY20.

 Torrent Power: Torrent Power on Thursday reported a 73.3% year-on-year decline in consolidated profit at Rs 201 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2020. It had posted a consolidated profit of Rs 754 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Consolidated revenue from operations dropped 18.6% YoY to Rs 3,129 crore in July to September quarter this year from Rs 3,842 crore posted in the same period last year. EBITDA stood at Rs 711 crore, down 32.7% from Rs 1,056 crore posted last year. The margin dropped to 22.7% in Q2FY21 against 27.5% posted in Q2FY20.   

Berger Paints: Berger Paints India Ltd on Thursday reported a 13.3% year-on-year rise in consolidated profit at Rs 221 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2020. It had posted a consolidated profit of Rs 195 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The consolidated revenue from operations grew 9.1% YoY to Rs 1,743 crore in the July to September quarter this year against Rs 1,598 crore posted in the same period last year. EBITDA stood at Rs 336 crore, up 34.4% from Rs 250 crore posted last year. The consolidated margin stood at 19.3% in Q2FY21 against 15.6% posted in Q2FY20. 

IndusInd Bank:  BofA Securities Europe SA buys 32.63 lakh shares of IndusInd Bank from Goldman Sachs (Singapore) Pte at Rs 678.10 per share. Now, Goldman Sachs holds 2.15 per cent stake in the private lender.
