Stock Market Today: Sensex, Nifty trade tepid; Aurobindo Pharma, Indiabulls Real Estate, TCS stocks gain

Stock Market Today: On account of sideways trend from the global amrkets, the Indian indices opened on the tepid note in the early morning trade session. The BSE Sensex opened 34 poitns down at 31,414 levels while the NSE Nifty added 14 points and sustained above the psychological 9,200 levels. Bank Nifty index shed 83 points and slipped at 19,784 levels.

Speaking on the current market scenario Prakash Pandey, MD & CEO at Plutus Advisors said, "The market is facing resistance at 9,200 but if it sustains above this level, then we can expect further 200-250 points rally provided the wall Street continues to remain strong in the coming trade session. Nifty has immediate support at 8,850 and it has strong support at 8,555 levels."

Shares of Reliance Industries, SBI, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma and Aurobindo Pharma were among the most trending stocks in the opening bell trade session while shares of Housing Development Finance, Titan Company, TCS and Kotak Mahindra Bank were among the most active stocks in the ealy morning trade session.

Healthcare stocks led the bull run as the BSE Healthcare index soared 1.47 per cent in the early morning tade session. healthcare major Aurobindo Pharma share price jumped over 2 per cent, Alembic Pharmaceuticals shares soared 3.18 per cent, shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise went up 3.64 per cent, Albert David stock price went up 6.56 per cent, Cadila Healthcare counter added 2.61 per cent, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals stocks rose 6.63 per cent, Jubilant Life Sciences scrip rose near 5 per cent, Morepen Laboratories share price skyrocketed 9.96 per cent while Pfizer added 2.81 per cent.

Realty stocks witnessed some fresh buying in the opening bell as the BSE Realty index went up around 1.15 per cent. Realty major Indiabulls Real Estate share price skyrocketed 3.40 per cent, Godrej Properties shares rose 3.39 per cent, shares of Oberoi Realty went up 2.5 per cent while the DLF stocks added around 0.80 per cent.

In the IT sector, large-cap counter Tata Consultancy Services or TCS share price rose 1.77 per cent, Tanla Solutions shares went ujp around 5 per cent, shares of Sonata Software added 1.57 per cent, Rolta India stock price soared 4.42 per cent, Ramco Systems stocks jumped 4.56 per cent while MindTree share price shot up 3.52 per cent.

Among the major Asian indices, the Japanese Nikkei 225 index went up 0.72 per cent, South Korean Kospi added 0.40 per cent, Hang Seng  added 0.04 per cent while Shanghai index went down 0.11 per cent.
