Stock Market Opening Bell: The BSE Sensex gained 89 points and hit 40,272 levels while the NSE Nifty went up 0 points and touched 11,843 mark. Bank Nifty index added 37 points and climbed 23,229 levels.
Stock Market Opening Bell: On account of positive global sentiments, the Indian indices opened in the green zone in opening bell today. The BSE Sensex gained 89 points and hit 40,272 levels while the NSE Nifty went up 0 points and touched 11,843 mark. Bank Nifty index added 37 points and climbed 23,229 levels. Metal, auto, telecom stocks were among the major gainers in the opening bell trade session.
Speaking on the current market trends Sanjiv Bhasin, Director at IIFL Securities said, "The market is highly bullish and we will soon witness 12,000 levels at NSE Nifty. Bank Nifty will also go up to 24,500 mark."

Shares of Lakshmi Vilas Bank, Solar Industries, LIC Housing Finance, Hindalco Industries, JK Cement, Steel Authority of India Limited or SAIL were among the major gainers in the opening bell today while shares of Magma Fincorp, Just Dial, Trent, MphasiS, Delta Corp, Vinati Organics, Vakrangee, Hindustan Uniliver Limited or HUL were among the major losers in the early morning trade session.
Among the major Asian indices, the Japanese Nikkei 225 index shed 0.40 per cent, South Korean Kospi added 0.21 per cent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng went off 0.08 per cent while Shanghai index shot up 1.89 per cent.
At Wall Street on Thursday, Dow Jones surged 0.43 per cent, Nasdaq went up 0.50 per cent, S&P 500 rose 0.80 per cent while Small Cap 2000 skyrocketed 1.08 per cent.
