Stock Market Opening Bell: On account of weak global indicators after the US' Wall Street going weak, Indian indices opened in the green zone but with limited gains in the opening bell today. The BSE Sensex surged 68 popints and touched 38,908 levels while the NSE Nifty added 21 points and climbed 11,470 levels. Bank Nifty index rose 159 points and scaled 22,625 mark.

Speaking on the current stock market scenario; SEBI registered technical stock expert Simi Bhaumik said, "MArket has opened above 11,450. If it sustains above this level for an hour then we can expect the NSE Nifty to further go upward up to 11,550 levels."

Shares of Bharti Infratel, HDFC Life Insurance, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, Hindustan Copper, Titan Company, SBI and HDFC Bank were among the major gainers in the opening bell today while shares of Blue Dart Express, Amber Enterprises, Hexaware Technologie, Sonata Software, Jindal Stainless, Zensar Technologies, Schaeffler India and Cummins India were among the leading losers in the early morning trade session. 

Telecom stocks led the bull run on Dalal Street as the BSE telecom index surged to the tune of 1.10 per cent in the opening bell today. Telecom major ITI share price shot up around 2 per cent, Tejas Networks shares surged 2.60 per cent, Vindhya Telelinks share skyrocketed 3.10 per cent, Tata Communications stock price soared 1.98 per cent while Bharti Infratel stocks rose near 4 per cent in the opening bell.

Among major Asian stock markets, the Japanese Nikkei added 0.37 per cent,South Korean Kospi shed 0.61 per cent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng escalated 0.44 per cent while Shanghai index went off 0.21 per cent.

At Wall Street yesterday, Dow Jones crashed 1.45 per cent, Nasdaq tanked 1.99 per cent, S&P 500 nosedived 1.76 per cent while Small Cap 2000 shed 0.77 per cent.
