Stock Market Closing Bell Today: On account of fresh buying in the consumer durable and FMCG sector stocks, the Indian indices managed to end in the green zone after the closing bell today. The BSE Sensex shot up 94 points and closed at 38,067 after testing the intraday high of 38,236. The NSE Nifty went up 25 points and closed at 11,247 mark while the Bank Nifty added 40 points after closing at 21,451 levels.

Speaking on the current stock market trends Simi Bhaumik, a SEBI registered technical stock analyst said, "Market is trading in the range of 11,150 to 11,300. Once, it breaks the 11,300 levels, we can expect it to move up to 11,500 to 11,600 levels. At Bank Nifty, trend seems weak with immediat3e support at 21,100. If this support is broken, then the next support for Bank Nifty is 20,850."

Shares of Advanced Enzyme Tech, Bliss GVS Pharma, Astral Poly Technik,Linde India, KPIT Technologies, MphasiS, AIA Engineering, Welspun Corp, Grindwell Norton and Welspun India were among the leading gainers after the closing bell today while shares of Bharat Petroleum, Central Bank,Lakshmi Vilas Bank, Steel Authority of India Limited or SAIL and Vodafone Idea were among teh major losers in the intrada trade session.

Consumer Durable stocks led the bull run on the Dalal Street as the BSE consumer durable index shot up to the tune of 1.72 per cent after the closing bell today. consumer durable major Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals share price soared 4.64 per cent, Titan Company shares went northward 2.83 per cent and Orient Electric share went up 1.53 per cent.

However, telecom stocks witnessed heavy selloff throughout the intraday trade session. Telecom major Reliance Communications share price crashed 4.49 per cent, Bharti Airtel shares nosedived 3.34 per cent, Vodafone Idea share dipped 2.55 per cent, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd or MTNL shares went down 1.42 per cent while HFCL stock price went southward 3.65 per cent after the closing bell today.

Among the major Asian markets, the Japanese Nikkei 225 index crashed 1.50 per cent, South Korean Kospi rose 0.86 per cent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng shot up 0.79 per cent while shanghai index lost 0.20 per cent after the closing bell today.
