Stock Market Closing Bell Today: Following strong global sentiments throughout the intraday trade session, the Indian indices ended in the green zone after the closing bell today. The BSE Sensex skyrocketed 657 points and closed at 38,851 levels while the NSE Nifty shot up 171 points and closed at 11,449 levels. Bank Nifty index went up 199 points and closed at 22,466 mark. Energy major and Sensex heavyweight Reliance industries share price skyrocketed 8.40 per cent.

Speaking on the current market scenario; Simi Bhaumik, a SEBI registered technical stock expert said, "NSE Nifty has closed near 11,450 that makes tomorrow opening bell very important. If the market opens in green zone and sustains above 11,450 levels, then we c an expect further 100 points rally in the markets."

Shares of ITI, Lakshmi Vilas Bank, Parag Milk Foods, India Cements, GIC Housing Finance, Bank of India, Reliance industries and KRBL were among the leading gainers after the closing bell today while shares of Bharti Infratel, Future Lifestyle, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Hindalco Industries, FDC, Swan Energy and NMDC were among the major losers in the intraday trade session.

Banking stocks continued to attract fresh buying in the intraday trade session. Banking major Axis Bank share price shot up 3.71 per cent, RBL Bank shares went northward 2.50 per cent, IndusInd Bank share appreciated 2.49 per cent, State Bank of India or SBI share price escalated 1.85 per cent, ICICI Bank stock price added 0.97 per cent while Bandhan Bank stock price soared near 1.5 per cent.

Among the major Asian stock indices, the Japanese Nikkei shot up 0.88 per cent, South Korean Kospi escalted 0.87 per cent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng shed 0.64 per cent while Shanghai index crashed 0.53 per cent.

At Wall Street yesterday, Dow Jones shot up 1.60 per cent, Nasdaq skyrocketed 2.71 per cent, S&P 500 soared 2.01 per cent while Small Cap 2000 went northward 1.55 per cent.
