Statue of Unity 8 Wonders SCO LIST: It is a massive feat by World's Tallest Statue i.e. Statue Of Unity! This momentous achievement by Statue Of Unity will make every Indian proud as the World’s Tallest Statue has been included in Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s  “8 wonders of SCO” list. Earlier, it was reported that in just over a year of its unveiling, the Statue of Unity in Gujarat had outdistanced the footfall of the Statue of Liberty in the US, with an average of 15,000 visitors a day.

The Statue of Unity, designed by the Indian sculptor Ram V. Sutar is the world's tallest statue, with a height of 182 metres. It is located near the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada in Kevadiya town in Gujarat.

The statue was inaugurated in October 2018 by PM Narendra Modi on the occasion of Sardar Patel's 143rd birth anniversary.

On Oct 31, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Statue of Unity in Kevadia on his 144th birth anniversary. The day is celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Divas. Later, he administered the unity pledge to the hundreds of government personnel gathered there.

Earlier Modi tweeted: "Tributes to the great Sardar Patel on his Jayanti. His contribution to our nation is monumental."

Since 2014, October 31 is observed as the National Unity Day and people participate in the 'Run For Unity'.
