SSC Recruitment 2018: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently issued an online notification for vacancies of a total of 54953 SSC GD Constable posts, providing a golden opportunity for aspirants seeking a chance to work for central security forces including BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP. The process to accept online applications started from 24th July 2018, therefore, those who fulfill the eligibility conditions can submit forms for "GD Constable Application Form". 
 
Interested candidates need to fulfill essential criteria to be considered for the GD Constable Recruitment 2018. They must be a citizen of India. Since vacancies are state/ UT wise, candidates submit domicile/ PRC against his/ her state/ UT.
 
The candidates need to have minimum age of 18 years and their maximum age should not exceed 23 years as on 01-08-2018, thereby, they should not have been born earlier than 02-08-1995 and later than 01-08-2000. 
 
For age relaxation, the upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories of persons will be followed in accordance with the government orders. 
 
Educational qualification: Aspirants should have passed matriculation from a recognized Board as of 01-08-2018. 
 
Physical Measurement: Weight of male or female candidates should be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
 
Medical Eligibility: Candidates should need to have a minimum distant vision of 6/12 of both eyes (without glasses). They should not have colour blindness.

Candidates who have undergone a surgery for improvement of vision (Eyesight) will be eligible, only after his/her vision is found normal after having the tests including contrast sensitivity, dim light vision (Mesopic vision) and Glare acuity, at the government hospital.
