SSC GD constable 2018-19: The recruitment examination 2018 for constable General Duty was concluded by the Staff Selection Commission on March 11. The examinations were held for 18 days, starting from February 11.

The examination is for a post as Constable General duty (GD) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Force (ITBP) Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB), National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and rifleman (GD) in Assam rifles is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. 

The total number of vacancies available for the post of Constable General duty (GD) is 58,373, for which 30,41,284 aspirants appeared for the paper at 297 exam venues across 125 cities. 

The SSC stated that the tentative date for declaration of the result is May 31 2019. Once declared, the shortlisted candidates need to download their SSC Constable GD result, from regional websites or on the official website https://ssc.nic.in/

After clearing the Computer Based Test (CBE), the shortlisted candidates need to appear for Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination to qualify further. 

On the basis of merit, candidates will qualified for the PET/PST will be 10 times the available vacancies.
