In a shocking development, it has been reported that famous Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his Bandra home. News agency PTI has confirmed, "Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput dies of suicide, confirms police."

As per news agency IANS, "Well known Bollywood actor Sushant Singh was found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on Sunday morning, police sources said. He was found hanging at his home and a domestic help alerted the police. A team of Bandra Police has rushed to investigate and details are awaited."

Rajput, 34, hailed from Bihar and was educated in Patna and New Delhi, before shifting to Mumbai.

He was known for his portrayals in TV serials like "Pavitra Rishta", films "Kai Po Chhe", "Shuddh Desi Romance", the biopic "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story", "Kedarnath" and "Chhichore", among several others.

Bollywood and social media reacted with shock and disbelief on hearing the news of Rajput's death.

On June 8, Bollywood actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Varun Sharma's former manager Disha Salian had committed suicide by jumping off the 14th floor of her apartment in Malad. Varun Sharma mourned the demise on Instagram, sharing a photo with his former manager and friend.

"Am at a loss of words. Speechless. Numb. It all looks unreal. So many memories. Such a lovely person and a dear friend. You always wore that smile everyday, and with such kindness you dealt with everything that came your way. You will be deeply missed. Prayers and Strength to the Family. I still can't believe Disha you're gone. Gone too Soon," wrote Varun.

The young celebrity manager was reportedly with her fiance when she took the drastic step on Monday night. She was declared dead on being rushed to a hospital in Borivali. The police have started an investigation. As per reports, they have recorded the statement of the deceased's parents. Her fiance might also be asked for a statement. Apart from Sushant Singh Rajput and Varun Sharma, Disha has managed comedian Bharti Singh in the past.
