Shiv Nadar partcipates in RSS function, says private sector, citizens should help overcome nations problems

HCL founder-chairman Shiv Nadar today urged the private sector, citizens and NGOs to come forward to resolve the challenges being faced by the country, while addressing the Vijayadashmi function of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at Reshimbagh ground in Maharashtra's Nagpur city. According to Shiv Nadar, "Government alone cannot take the country to the next level, we need equal involvement from all stakeholders." Nadar was the chief guest at the Sangh's annual Dussehra event this year.
The PTI quoted Nadar as saying, "The country faces many challenges, but the government alone cannot solve the problems. Private sector, citizens, NGOs must also contribute to overcome these challenges."
Wishing everybody on the occasion of Vijayadashmi, he said, "I am honoured and privileged to be invited to speak to you today and join in the celebrations. The Reshimbagh ground has truly come alive today with the energy of all the RSS workers."
Delving on the significance of Dussehra festival, the HCL founder-chairman said it is a constant struggle to defeat the "evil within and outside".
Nadar said, "Dussehra celebrates the triumph of Lord Rama over Ravana, dharma over adharma...good over evil. The mythic win of good over evil is never absolute, never complete. It's a continuous struggle to defeat the evil within and outside."
Earlier in the morning, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat performed 'shastra puja' at the Sangh's annual Vijayadashmi event here. Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Gen V K Singh (retd) and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were among those present at the event.
After Ratan Tata and Rahul Bajaj, veteran industrialist Azim Premji also visited the Hedgewar Smruti Mandir premises in Nagpur on Sunday, and paid tributes at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder`s memorial.
Premji met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and discussed various issues related to the country, society and economy for about half an hour, after offering homage at the memorial of K.B. Hedgewar at Reshimbaug area, sources told IANS.
Premji had earlier participated in the `Rashtriya Sewa Sangam`, a conclave of NGOs convened by the RSS in 2015.

Tata Sons` former Chairman Ratan Tata, too, has visited the Sangh headquarters twice within five months. He also met the Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat during a visit to Nagpur in April this year. In December 2016 also, he had visited the RSS headquarters and, in 2017, he shared the stage with Bhagwat at another event in Mumbai on the birth anniversary of the deceased Sangh leader Nana Palkar.
