Sensex, Nifty open on higher note in early morning trade
The Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) after opening at 26,897.84 points touched a high of 26,901.42 points and a low of 26,843.09 points in the opening trade on Monday.
The 30-scrip BSE index on Monday opened on a higher note during the morning session of the trade.

At 10:05 hours, the index was trading down 11.50 points, or 0.04%, at 26,831.53 on the BSE. On Friday, the Sensex closed at 26,843.03 points.
On the other hand, the broader 50-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 8,228.75 points after closing at 8,220.80 points on Friday.
At 10:06 hours, the Nifty was trading down 5.05 points, or 0.06%, at 8,215.75 on the NSE.
