Sensex, Nifty open in green in early trade ahead of RBI policy
Indias key equity indices-Sensex and Nifty-opened on a higher note in early trade on Wednesday ahead of the Reserve Bank of Indias (RBI) bi-monthly monetary policy scheduled later in a day.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index Sensex on Wednesday opened on a higher note during the morning session of the trade.
The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 31,252.71 points, touched a high of 31,289.98 points and a low of 31,229.25 points.
On Tuesday, the Sensex closed at 31,190.56 points.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is scheduled to hold its bi-monthly monetary policy meet at 2:30 pm (IST) on Wednesday.

The Sensex is trading at 31,256.94 points up by 66.38 points or 0.21%.
On the other hand, the broader 51-scrip Nifty at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 9,663.95 points after closing at 9,637.15 points.
The Nifty is trading at 9,654.50 points in the morning.
