Schools for class 9-12 to reopen from February 7, night curfew duration reduce by 1 hr: DDMA
DDMA on Friday decided to reopen schools, colleges, coaching institutes, and gyms in Delhi.
Reopening of schools: The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Friday decided to reopen schools, colleges, coaching institutes, and gyms in Delhi. The schools for classes 9-12 are going to reopen from Monday, February 7, 2022. Along with that the duration of night curfew in the national capital is also reduced by one hour. The new night curfew hours are 11 pm to 5 am.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has taken the decision in a virtual press conference keeping the view of improvement in the COVID-19 situation.
Delhi`s Education Minister Manish Sisodia said, "To ensure that Delhiites` lives return to its normal pace, DDMA has taken seven major decisions today. Of which, the first is to open up schools and colleges. This step has been taken after recording a decline in Covid-19 positivity case and increase in the number of vaccination against the disease amongst the people of Delhi," as per IANS reported.
For now, the classes will be conducted in hybrid mode (both offline and online), after a while, the classes will only be taken offline, said Sisodia.
Apart from that, according to the source, all offices have been permitted to work at full capacity.
The gym, Spa are also allowed to open but with conditions.
The obligation of the mask in the car, when a person is alone is also over. There will be no challan.
The night curfew of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. will now be maintained during 11 p.m to 5 a.m.
