It is probably the best time of the year! At least for the kids who don't have to wake up early, dress up in formals and reach office in this scorching heat, unlike parents. They can spend the next two months at home, without having to worry about anything. But, that is where you need to start thinking. These two months can be used to make your kids learn something new and grow. At the same time, staying at home could expose them to more TV and mobile content. This is non-productive as well as addictive at the same time. Instead, you can enrol your kids for activities like swimming, drama, dance and music, among others and help them grow their skills and personality.
Yoga
Yog Guru Gaurav Sawant has urged kids not to waste their vacations. "Children should get out of their homes and indulge in activities like yoga, dance and zumba. It will really benefit them," Sawant told Zee Business TV, while adding that children will not learn so many things if they are glued to their iPads or mobile phones.
As far as cost is concerned, he said Yoga classes might cost around Rs 500 per hour.

Swimming
The other option, which has always been very popular among children, is swimming. It not only adds another skill to their armory but also helps them to stay fit.
Swimming Coach Amul Kedare told Zee Business TV that even if you swim for one hour every day, it really helps provide a big boost to the body. He said that swimming helps you lose weight and also increase appetite. "When you swim, you actually do full cardio. We charge Rs 4000 per month for swimming. We take batches on four days a week on alternate days," he said.
Theatre
Theatre and personality development classes are perfect for otherwise shy kids. They can help these children to open up and express themselves, which is a major problem today, according to personality development teacher Roona Ashish. "Most kids these days talk a lot but they are unable to strike a conversation. Drama classes or other activities like it make them socially strong," Ashish told Zee Business TV. She added that physical and mental activities also help you in studies.
So, this summer vacation, say not to smartphones and encourage your children to start a new chapter in their lives.
