Sanju box office collection: Ranbir Kapoor has displayed incredible power at the BO and now, at the fag end of its first week, it is still showing amazing powers to lure large crowds into cinemas to keep the collection in double digits. Even on day 7, Sanju collection has fattened by a massive Rs 16.10 crore. This has boosted the overall total to Rs 202.51 cr. It had collected Rs 186.41 cr by day 6.

The surprising factor is that Sanju is a biopic and not another song and dance Bollywoood movie that the public loves so much. That it is based on the life of an iconic actor Sanjay Dutt is one big reason for its drawing power, but the actual nature of the growth that the movie is logging is quite awe-inducing.

Sanju collection, if it keeps on growing in this manner may well dislodge the top-most movies of Bollywood, not just in the year 2018, but even all-time grossers are under threat. Notably, Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion is No. 1 on this list with a collection of Rs 510.99 cr. It is followed by Aamir Khan starrers Dangal and PK, which earned Rs 387.38 cr and Rs 340.8 cr respectively. Salman Khan rounds off the top list with his movies Tiger Zinda Hai and Bajrangi Bhaijan, which earned Rs 339.16 cr and Rs 320.34 cr.

Trade analyst Sumit Kadel is quite gung-ho about the fortunes of Sanju film. He tweeted, "I am expecting  #Sanju to collect Rs 60 cr+ on its Second weekend . Film will enter 300 cr club on its 3rd Friday or Saturday. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER is a given now. Congratulations"

While on current form, Sanju collection looks good to go all the way, there are many hurdles. Fortunately, for Ranbir Kapoor, there is virtually no competition in cinemas at the moment. Also, the word of mouth booster is working overtime! Things will definitely get clearer once Sanju movie crosses the Rs 250 cr mark, as well as the second working week.
