Rupee near record low, at 68.79 to a dollar

Indian Rupee (INR) continued to weaken against US Dollar (USD) on Thursday.
During opening trade, INR fell 0.3% and was trading at 68.7950 to a dollar. Bloomberg data show that this is the lowest point in three years for the rupee.

Bond yields continued to rally and were trading at 6.274% as against Wednesday's close of 6.278%.
NSE Nifty index too fell 0.3% in pre-opening trade.
