Lok Sabha Elections 2019: The election commission has already announced poll dates and the model code of conduct has kicked in across India. The parties are coming out with the list of their candidates and the campaigning has also started. A candidate is allowed to spend only Rs 70 lakh in this election on campaigning. Taking a cue from this, the Ghaziabad district administration has carried out an extensive market survey to fix the prices to eatables to rented vehicles.

As per a Hindustan Times report, the administration has fixed the prices of things like samosas to SUVs. As per the report, the price of a samosa/bread pakoda has been kept at Rs 10, laddu and balushahi will cost Rs 200 per kg, kaju barfi to cost Rs 750 per kg while apple will cost Rs 100/kg and the maximum price of guava/banana has been kept at Rs 50 per dozen.

The rent for Maruti 800 to Deluxe buses has been kept between Rs 1000 to Rs 10,000 for up to 200 km with extra charges per km over the 200 km limit.

If the candidates hire SUVs like Fortuner, Pajero and Mercedes, he will be allowed to pay between Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000 for 200 km and extra charges per km over that.

On the other hand, if the candidate hires a priest, he won't be able to pay Rs 1,100 per service. The authorities have also fixed the prices of a coconut at Rs 20, incense sticks at Rs 10, cake at Rs 300, and puri sabzi at Rs 60 per person among other things.
