RRB recruitment 2018: Railway Recruitment Board will be conducting Level I (Group D) exam in the month of September. A whopping 1.9 crore candidates have applied for  63,000 posts. For these Level I posts, Railways will be releasing the admit card 10 to 15 days before the exam date. However, the admit card release time is four days for ALP and Technicians exam. A candidate can download his/her admit card using the registration number and date of birth.

Currently, RRB is conducting the computer-based test for 60000 Indian Railways posts of assistant loco pilot and technicians. The exam is being held in 15 regional languages. Railways had said that turnout for this year's RRB exam is highest ever for the recruitment board. As many as 2.4 crore aspirants have applied for 1.2 lakh posts.

Indian Railways has tied up with the TCS to conduct the CBT. It had said that no two question papers will be alike.  Exams are being held in three shifts a day.

The next sets of the exam will be held on August 29, 30 and 31.

The first computer-based exam for ALP/Technician posts was held on August 9. A total 3,59,605 candidates had participated in the examination.

"During the Recruitment process, every effort has been made to provide nearby centres to the candidates, while keeping in view the constraint of availability of suitable centres, equipped with necessary infrastructure and security provisions. Around 83% candidates have been provided centres within 500 kilometers. Special care has been taken to ensure that almost all women candidates and Persons with Disability are provided centres within 200 kilometers," Indian Railways has said.

The exams are being conducted at over 400 centres in 166 cities across the country and is being monitored every step of the process.
