RRB Group D Recruitment: Result declared - What's next? Here is what you should do now

RRB Group D Result 2018-19: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the result for the RRB group D recruitment exam which was conducted in order to fill 62,907 vacancies. RRBs will now conduct the Physical Efficiency Test for all the shortlisted candidates. On the basis of the merit in Group D computer-based test (CBT), the selected candidates will be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET). It is mandatory for the candidates to pass the PET, which will be qualifying in nature. Here are some of the processes that the shortlisted candidates need to go through:-

The selected candidates will have to appear for the physical eligibility test (PET) and document verification.

RRB group D Physical Efficiency Test
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for male candidates, will consist of the following components:

1. A candidate will need to cover a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes, carrying 35 kg of weight in one chance without putting the weight down.

2. He should be able to complete a run of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

Components of the PET for female candidates:

1. The female candidate will be required to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.

2. She will need to cover a run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

According to the official notification, the pay scale for RRB Group D is "Level 01 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix with initial pay of ₹18000/- plus other allowances admissible at that time."

RRB group D result 2018-19: Qualifying marks
The minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories are: UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST30%. The percentage of marks for eligibility is likely to be relaxed by 2% for PWD candidates in case of shortage of PWD candidates against vacancies reserved for them, the official notification mentioned.
