RRB Group D Recruitment 2019: Registration begins for over 1 lakh Indian Railways posts; Check details
RRB Group D Recruitment 2019: According to the notification, interested candidates can submit their online registration form till April 12, 2019 mid-night, while they can submit their fee through online modes of Net Banking, credit card, debit card/UPI till April 23, 2019.
RRB Group D Recruitment 2019: For mega recruitment drive to fill over one lakh vacant positions (103769) of Group D, the Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) have released the notification for online registration for these posts. Aspirant can now fill up their applications as the process has begun from 5 pm today. According to the notification, interested candidates can submit their online registration form till April 12, 2019 mid-night, while they can submit their fee through online modes of Net Banking, credit card, debit card/UPI till April 23, 2019. Those who are not in a position to submit their fee through online can do the same through SBI challan and Post office challan till till April 18, 2019, while the final submission of applications can be done till April 26, 2019.
The indicative advertisement for recruitment on RRB Group D or Level 1 posts was published in Employment News on February 23, 2019, stating that the recruitment registration for Level 1 posts will be through Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) websites.
Further, it said that online applications are invited by RRBs on behalf of RRCs from eligible Indian Nationals and other nationals for various posts in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix in various units of Indian Railways. Applications complete in all respect should be submitted ONLINE to the chosen Railway Recruitment Board till 23.59 hours of 26.04.2019.
Dates of examinations will also be published on the websites of participating RRBs/RRCs. Thereafter, E-Call letters for the CBT/PET/DV (as applicable) should be downloaded only from official websites of the RRBs/RRCs concerned. No call letter will be sent by post. The exam centre, date and shift will be indicated in the e-call letter shall be final.
The posts that are available in the RRB Level 1 recruitment 2019 include Track Maintainer Grade IV (Trackman), Gateman, Pointsman, Helper in various departments (Electrical, Engineering, Mechanical and S&T Departments) Porter and more.
Reservations for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, PwBD, ExSM and relaxations in age for various eligible categories will be applicable as per details contained in this CEN. The vacancies also include backlog of PwBD. Notably, the PwBD reservation in the vacancies of critical operational posts cannot be given due to job requirements. Such post include Assistant pointsman, Assistant Bridge, and Track Maintainer Grade IV.
Age limit: Candidates should be in the age group of 18 to 33 years. The lower and upper age limit indicated for a particular post(s) in the vacancy table will be reckoned as on 01.07.2019.
Important instructions for online registration and submission of applications:
1. Candidates should ensure that they possess/fulfill all eligibility conditions prescribed for the post(s) as on the closing date of online registration i.e. as on 12.04.2019.
2. Before filling up of the online application, candidates are advised to thoroughly read all the instructions and information in the CEN contained in this notification and available on the websites of RRBs.
3. Candidates should have their own mobile number and valid and active personal email ID and keep them active for the entire duration of recruitment as RRBs/RRCS shall send all recruitment related communications only through SMS and email till the recruitment is completely over.
4. RRBs/RRCS will not entertain any request for change of mobile number and e-mail address at any stage. Only one ONLINE Registration is permitted through one mobile number and one email ID under this CEN.
5. Applications are to be submitted ONLINE through the RRB websites. Candidates can apply to only one Railway. Application to more than one Railway, will lead to rejection of all the applications.
6. Candidates are required to go through the vacancy table, ascertain their eligibility and then exercise options for the Railways and post(s) within the Railway chosen as per their eligibility.
7. Candidates can modify application particulars except Railway chosen, Email ID and Mobile Number, even after submission of application, but within the last date of submission of application. Candidates need NOT send printouts of application or certificates or copies to RRBs concerned by post.
Educational qualification: Candidates need to be matriculate or class 10 pass from a recognised board or university.
Application fees: General category candidates have to pay fee of Rs 500, while candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen, other reserve categories have to pay Rs 250.
Stages of Exam: The exam shall be Computer Based Test (CBT). Railway Administration reserves the right to conduct the CBT in either single or multi stage mode. Candidates qualifying in the CBT will have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET), followed by document verification and medical examination.

Call Letters: Candidates will have to download the City and Date Intimations, e- Call Letters and Travel Authority (wherever applicable) from the links provided on the official websites of RRBs/RRCs.
Short listing for PET: The short listing for PET will be based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT.
Negative Marking: There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in the CBT. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
