RPF recruitment 2018: Indian Railways has invited applications for more than 9,000 Constable and Sub Inspector posts in Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force. Candidates should visit Indian Railways official website indianrailways.gov.in to get details about the recruitment.
Here are the important dates for the RPF recruitment 2018:
Opening Date for Submission of On-Line Application Form and Fee June 1. Last Date for On-Line Fee Payment July 2. Last Date of Submission of On-Line Application Form June 30. Last Date for Off-Line Fee Payment July 5.
Educational qualifications:
Constable (Executive): Candidates should possess matriculation certificate from a recognised Board. Those who are awaiting results of the prescribed qualifications need not apply.
Age limit: 18-25 years.
Sub Inspector:
Candidates should possess a degree from any recognised University and those who are awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed educational qualification need not apply.
Age limit: 20-25 years.
Date of birth: Date mentioned in the matriculation or equivalent certificate will be recognised. The age limit indicated in the notice will be considered as of July 1, 2018. The relaxation in upper age limit for the reserved catagories will be applicable subject to submission of requisite certificates.
There will be no age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC-Non-creamy Layer (NCL) candidates applying against unreserved openings.
"Indian Railways releases more than 9,000 jobs for Constable & Sub Inspector posts in Railway Protection Force and Railway Protection Special Force, opening up new opportunities for youth. Get detailed information at http://www.indianrailways.gov.in," Railways Minister Piyush Goyal said in a twitter post.
Railway Protection Force there is conducting a fresh recruitment drive for the first time since 2011. Many youth on the twitter post requested the railway minister to increase the upper age limit to 28 years as the recruitment drive is being conducted after a gap of 8 years.
