Cash rewards continue to pour in for Olympian and Gold medal winner Neeraj Chopra. The latest announcement comes from Mahindra and Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra who has promised an XUV 7OO to the Gold medal winner. The award has come after a Gold winning performance by Chopra in the just concluded Tokyo Olympics 2020.
"Yes indeed. It will be my personal privilege & honour to gift our Golden Athlete an XUV 7OO," Mahindra said in a reply to a tweet.

Earlier, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced a cash award of Rs 6 cr for along with a Class I category job. The Haryana CM also added that the state will be building a Centre of Excellence for athletes in Panchkula, where Chopra will be asked to head it if he wanted. Khattar also said that he will be given a plot with a 50 per cent concession, like other players.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh also announced a special cash reward of Rs 2 crore for his award-winning javelin throw in Tokyo. The Chief Minister said that it was a proud moment for India and all Punjabis. It is being said that the family of Neeraj Chopra, a serving soldier in the Indian Army traces its roots to Punjab.

The BCCI also announced a cash reward of Rs 1 crore for Chopra. IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) also tweeted that it is rewarding Rs 1 crore to the Tokyo Olympic Gold medallist.

Similarly, IndiGo has announced that it will offer unlimited free travel for one year to Chopra after he won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
Edtech platform BYJU’S has also announced a cash reward of Rs 2 crore to Chopra after his historic win on 7 August in Tokyo Olympics.
