PM Modi Turban Photo On Republic Day: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, January 26, wore a multi-coloured Rajasthani turban on the occasion of the 74th Republic Day. The turban symbolises the diversity of India. Clad in a white kurta, pant with a black coat and a white stole, PM Modi arrived at the National War Memorial near India Gate where he paid tribute to fallen soldiers.

Republic Day 2023 Parade LIVE: India's grand event to begin shortly at Kartavya Path | Check Delhi Metro timings, Delhi traffic police advisory and more

The ceremonial parade on the Kartavya Path commenced with President Droupadi Murmu taking the salute. The parade was commanded by Parade Commander Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, a second-generation Army officer. Maj Gen Bhavnish Kumar, Chief of Staff, Delhi Area was the Parade Second-in-Command. For the first time, a combined band and marching contingent of theEgyptian Armed Forces took part in the ceremonial parade.

PM Modi's costume had a distinct touch of Uttarakhand and Manipur last year. He wore a Brahmakamal cap from Uttarakhand and Manipur's Leirum Phee stole.
