Hailing the government plans in regard to the MSP list expansion Anuj Modi, Director, Lotus Dairy Products said, "Addition of few more items, especially milk, into the list of beneficiary items under MSP is a welcome move, if implemented, and it would help farmers to at least pare the losses incurring on their side at the time of harvest. However, I would like to add that such a step would be handy for farmers in short-term only. In longer terms, we need to provide a proper and concrete market structure where they will be able to get the actual price of their produce they have been demanding for long."
