ITBP Medical Officer Recruitment 2019: Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) has invited applications for recruitment of as many as 496 vacant positions for the posts of Medical Officer through an official notification. The posts include vacancies of Super Specialist Medical Officer, Specialist Medical Officer & Medical Officer in CAPF. Interested candidates can submit their application on the ITBP's official website--recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. Prior to submitting their forms, aspirants should go through the details given in the notification. The online application process will be start from April 2, 2019, and the last date to submit the application forms is May 1, 2019.

Eligibility Criteria

Specialist Medical Officer (SMO in Deputy Commandant): Interested candidates should have Degree in Allopathic System from any  recognized university in the first or second schedule or Part-II  of the third schedule other than licentiate qualification included in Part II of the third schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Sub Section 3 of section 13 of IMC Act 1956. 

They should have PG degree/Diploma in related specialist as per IMA, and their maximum age should not exceed 40 years.

Medical Officer (MO in Assistant Commandant): Interested candidates should have recognized Medical qualification of allopathic systems of Medicines included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualification) included in Part II of the third schedule, should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Sub Section 3 of section 13 of IMC Act 1956. PG degree/Diploma in related specialist as per IMA. 

Candidates must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/MCI before appointment in any of the CAPFs and completion of compulsory rotating internship. Their maximum age should not exceed 30 years.

Super Specialist Medical Officer (SSMO in Second in Command): Interested candidates should have graduate degree in Medicine (MBBS) Or Equivalent from a Recognized University in the first Schedule to the Medical Council Act.

Candidates' maximum age should not exceed 50 years. 

Raised on October 24, 1962, ITBP is deployed on border guarding duties from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh covering 3488 km of Indo-China Border and manning Border Outposts on altitudes ranging from 9000’ to 18700’ in the Western, Middle and Eastern Sector of the Indo-China Border.
