Recruitment 2018: Kolkata Port Trust has issued notification for the post of Trainee Pilots. The last date for submission of the application form is October 26, 2018.  The applicants can apply in the prescribed format on or before October 26, 2018. There are 6 posts open for Trainee Pilots posts. The applicants must go through the official notification before applying for the posts. The applicants must make sure that they fulfil all the criteria for the job.
 
Eligibility Criteria for Trainee Pilots Job
 
Educational Qualification:
 
a. Master (FG)/Dredge Master Gr. I or equivalent.
b. 1st Mate’s (FG)/ Dredge Master- Gr.II
c. 2nd Mate’s (FG)/ Dredge Mate- Gr. I
d. B.Sc. Nautical Science
 
Age Limit
 
Age should not be more than 35 years for Master (FG)/Dredge Master Gr. I or equivalent
 
Age should not be more than 30 years for 1st Mate’s (FG)/ Dredge Master- Gr.II
 
Age should not be more than 30 years for 2nd Mate’s (FG)/ Dredge Mate- Gr. 
 
Age should not be more than 25 years for B.Sc. Nautical Science.
 
How to Apply:
 
The candidates can apply to the posts through the prescribed format and send the applications with necessary documents to Sr. Personnel Officer, Kolkata Port Trust, 15, Strand Road, Kolkata-700001.
 
 
The selected candidates will initially join as Trainee Pilots and undergo training for a period of 18 months/ 25 months/ 40 months/ 52 months as applicable. After successful completion of training, the candidates' job will be regularised.
 
The selected candidates will be posted at Kolkata or Haldia.
 
The applicants have to be careful while filling up the application form, as any error may lead to cancellation of the application.
