Only 38.5% of the 1.2 lakh aspirants who had appeared for the Assistant Teachers Recruitment Examination-2018 were declared successful after the Examination Regulatory Authority (ERA) announced the results of the exam in Allahabad on Monday.
 
The examination was held to fill up 68,500 vacancies of assistant teachers in the government primary schools in the state. Out of all the aspirants, only 41,556 cleared the examination. As many as 26,944 seats will remain vacant due to lack of qualified teachers.
 
Candidates who wish to view their results can visit http://upbasiceduboard.gov.in.
 
According to reports, out of 1.25 lakh aspirants who has registered for the examination, only 1.07 lakh had appeared for the same.

Secretary of ERA, Sutta Singh told Times of India, “Only 41,556 candidates managed to clear the examination. The candidates can get a print out of their marksheet after entering their roll number on our website. The results would be available on the website till August 30."
 
The Teachers Recruitment Examination-2018 was conducted on May 27, at 248 centres across the state.
