Ratan Tata News: As the country mourned the demise of Tata Sons Chairman Ratan Tata, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered the legendary industrialist as "a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul and an extraordinary human being". Ratan Tata died late night in a Mumbai hospital on Wednesday. The salt-to-software conglomerate's patriarch was 86 years old.

Sharing a few images of him with Ratan Tata from earlier, PM Modi said Tata provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses.

"At the same time, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom," wrote PM Modi.
