Ram Mandir to generate trade worth Rs 50,000 crore in January 2024, says trade body: Heres how
Talking about the nation-wide business opportunities, the senior members of CAIT said that there are large quantities of special cloth garlands, lockets, key chains, pictures of Ram Darbar, models of Ram Temple, Shri Ram Dhwaja, Shri Ram Angvastra, etc available in the markets across the country.
Trade body Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) said on Thursday that it is estimated that the inauguration of Shri Ram Temple on January 22 will generate business worth Rs 50,000 crore in the country. CAIT's secretary general Praveen Khandelwal said while stating this figure that the day of consecration of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya will be historic in every respect, as there is immense enthusiasm and excitement among the people of all sections across the country which will lead to people buying products associated with the Shri Ram Temple.
Traders in all the states have made extensive preparations to meet the demand of this additional trade, he opined, adding that it proves that the roots of Sanatan Economy are very deep in India.
Meanwhile, Khandelwal and CAIT National President BC Bhartia have requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to declare January 22 as “Ram Rajya Diwas” as they believe Shri Ram is the founder of India's ancient culture, civilization and dignity and "Ram Rajya is truly a reflection of all these important points". The duo said that on the call of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, a campaign will be run across the country from January 1 leading to the inauguration of Shri Ram Temple. They added that there is immense enthusiasm among the people across the country, and there are huge related business opportunities in all the states of the country.

Both leaders of the trade body said that there is a high demand especially for models of Shri Ram Mandir and these models are being made in different sizes from hardboard, pinewood, wood etc. A large number of women are getting employment in making these models, while local artisans, artists and skilled and unskilled workers are receiving business opportunities in all the states. New employment and business opportunities are being created in the country, they added.
The duo also said that a large number of kurtas, T-shirts and other clothes are being prepared on which models of Shri Ram Temple are printed. And added that khadi fabric is being used in making kurtas that are either being embroidered by hand or being printed.
The senior members of the trade body said that in view of the call to celebrate Diwali across the country on January 22, there will be a huge demand for earthen lamps, different colors for making rangoli, flowers for flower decoration and electrical items for lighting the markets and homes as well. The service sector is also likely to get big boost and makers of promotional material like hoardings, posters, banners, leaflets, other literature, stickers, etc, across the country have also fully geared up for substantial business.
Also, people associated with music business across the country will also benefit from the imauguration of Shri Ram Mandir, they said, explaining that a large number of songs related to the Shri Ram Temple are being composed across the country and relatively lesser-known lyricists, composers and singers are getting work. Also, orchestra parties across the country are also gearing up for programs related to Shri Ram Temple.
Both the trade leaders said that in this entire campaign, CAIT has taken up the responsibility of coordination by taking business organizations of all the states together to provide business to all sections of the society.
